ActorDB

Keep the record
and the next task together.

A document arriving or a review finishing can change what happens next. ActorDB is the part of the design that connects those changes to the work.

Your records should help work move.

Storing a document is not the same as knowing what happens next.

An uploaded file, an accepted review and a ready case mean different things. Treating them as one status creates confusion and more follow-up. ActorDB is designed to connect the fact that changed to the next task, while keeping unfinished work visible.

  • Distinguish receipt from review.
  • Keep a question with the person responsible.
  • Do not turn an attempted action into a confirmed result.

A file arrived.
What does that change?

A received document may still need review. An approved document may make another task ready. The record should show the difference.

Keep confirmed results clear.

An attempt and a completed action are different events.

StateMeaning
PreparedThe work is ready for review
ApprovedThe required person allowed the action
AttemptedThe outside action was started
ConfirmedThe destination reported the agreed result

A clear product direction.

ActorDB is developing architecture. Production guarantees and exact supported behavior need evidence from the evaluated release.

One file can change several things.

Illustrative record history. These are separate facts, not four names for the same status.

  1. The file arrived

The document list changes from two received to three. That says nothing yet about whether the copy is usable.

  2. A review is assigned

The lawyer receives a question. The review is pending, even though the file is already stored.

  3. A decision is recorded

The lawyer accepts the copy. The document can now satisfy this part of the checklist.

  4. The next task is ready

The remaining requirements decide whether the case can move forward. One accepted file does not complete every task.
